|
In July 2008 IOM launched the operation of a National Anti-Trafficking Hotline as part of the national Programme of Support and Protection of Victims of Trafficking in Human Beings funded by the Ministry of Interior. The technical operation of the hotline is co-funded by T –Mobile Slovakia. The hotline 0800 800 818 is a toll-free and is operated daily during business hours, from 9.00 to 17.00. Outside these hours an answering machine is available to callers who may leave their contact; the operators of the hotline will contact them back. The objective of the National Anti-Trafficking Hotline is to provide assistance and information to people who might be in a vulnerable situation with regard to human trafficking. Potential victims are referred to organizations or institutions which are able to provide the quickest and most effective assistance in these situations or they may be offered the services of the IOM Programme of Return and Reintegration. Furthermore, the hotline provides preventive information aimed at the elimination of risks related with labour migration and unprotected work. FLVplayer
