The IOM Migration Information Center (MIC) has prepared a series of events called Welcoming Slovakia. Their goal is to provide practical and useful information for foreigners living in Slovakia. The events also create space for cultural exchange, sharing and networking between people from the communities of foreigners and Slovak public.

Since the beginning of 2017, five such events have taken place: Easter workshop for the families from Russian speaking countries (April 2017), tasting of foods from Cameroon, Columbia and Afghanistan within the Fjuzn festival (April 2017), Day of Africa with a football tournament (May 2017), community event for the people from Kazakhstan (June 2017) and a meeting of Indians in Bratislava (July 2017).
