I see that my skillset can help solving troubles people are facing, so I have decided to invest my free time into something meaningful: support in the field by legal consulting and providing other relevant information related to living here in Slovakia, translations in English, Russian and Slovak for government and non-government entities, data collection.

Being in the field turns you into a kind of accumulator of experience, connection builder, knowledge gatherer - which makes it easier and faster to solve many issues people face. Field work also helps to understand and point out to what works poorly, so that relevant changes can be made.

Secondly, it is important for me that Slovakia is perceived as a good and supportive neighbour and I gladly invest my time into such activities. And why IOM? Because it is part of the UN, I wanted to see how it operates from inside and what projects and initiatives are being done. I hope that by doing so there will be someone there for me, if I ever need help.
